When we said Lingohof was a fixer upper, we weren’t kidding. We spent countless weekends as well as vacation days chipping away at clearing, demolition (what we could physically accomplish ourselves), landscaping, putting our new home in place, gardening, and making improvements in just about every corner of our property.

Fortunately, we had “good bones” to work with: a 40-year, single owner, homesteading history and a family that had cared enough to plant native flowers, trees, and shrubs – just not with any particular logic in mind.

It was hard to envision the long term picture. You tend to focus most on the project you’re working on in the moment, but looking back, we’ve come a long way.
