The Origins of a Love Story
From superheroes to regular people, we all have an origin story.
For Liza and Ingo it began in Mr. Murphy’s world history class in August of 1980. Liza sat behind Ingo that first week of class and by the second week he was intensely interested in knowing all he could about her. Alas, Liza moved away after their sophomore year of high school and although they saw each other occasionally, by the time they were in their later college years, they lost touch with one another.
Their lives evolved separately with relationships, marriages and children, but later on they reconnected by chance and finally realized how well they fit together. They set about building a new life some 30 years after they first met.

Our Backgrounds
Ingo
Likes long walks on the beach under a moonlit night. He also loves foamy bubble baths with a firm loofa. He enjoys meaningful pedicures, good food and wordplay.
Liza
Liza enjoys hiding Ingo’s loofa, fussing in the garden, flopping with the dogs, and ending each day with the best man she knows – and the only one who could have made it all possible.

We fully understood from day one that our little farm would be a fixer upper. But once Liza saw the great big sky above and an open field below, all lit by the setting sun, she was hooked.

So What is Lingohof?
Lingohof got its name from the amalgamation of Liza + Ingo to form Lingo. Liza and Ingo also have Germanic roots. In German, a farm is called a Bauernhof. But since our property is not just a farm, it’s also a yard and a garden, we felt the shorter term “Hof” was more appropriate. So from there we combined the Lingo with the Hof to make Lingohof. It’s more than just the name of our palatial estate, it also symbolizes our team mentality in working together and ultimately will represent our brand as we grow.
